I'll never forget the day I discovered Mean Soup at the SIUE Bookstore while in graduate school. I bought two of them at the time: one for my niece and nephew and the other for my future child (who would turn out to be Jack, of course!). I have bought many more throughout the years for friends' kids. It's a great book.
